"Children’s Rhymes sings ancient poems and Music Everlasting Classics ". On the evening of August 12, the "Music Salon of Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" was joyfully staged in Beijing Poly Theatre, which was also the first public performance of the original works of the "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" series. A number of musicians and singers performed and interacted with nearly 1,000 youngsters at the venue, singing ancient poems and inheriting on the classics.

The "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" is a series of children's ancient poems and songs created by young composers and singers led by Zhao Jiping, a famous musician and honorary chairman of the Chinese Musicians Association, and composer Zhao Lin. The "Music Salon of Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" is a children's choral concert selected from the works of "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes". It is jointly produced by poly performance and Music Bridge culture, and performed by poly "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" Art Troupe.

The choir sang several children's choral works that night, including "A Song in Slow Time", "The Return to Nature", "The Shepherd Boy" and "The Sea", etc. Zhao Jia Jingyun from the high school affiliated to the Central Conservatory of music brought "on mission to the frontier", which was performed in CCTV's "Everlasting classics ", and pushed the music salon to a climax.

The "Music Salon of Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" broke the traditional concert format and turned the concert into a public service music master class for children and teenagers with a more relaxed music salon format. Singers Lei Jia, Wang Lida and Cai Guoqing performed with the children and shared their stories of learning ancient poems. Composers Yang Fan, Zhang Wei, Wang Zhe, Dai Xiaofei and Zhao Bo from the composing team of "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" accompanied and interacted with the audience, interpreting the beautiful meaning of ancient poems and children's rhymes, making the whole performance a vivid experience of spreading traditional culture and popularizing music knowledge.

After the performance, many parents and children came to watch the performance and forgot to come back. The second primary school of Beijing experiment Rui Rui child said, "The songs tonight are very good, before I could not memorize the poem "A Song in Slow Time", after listening to this song tonight, I feel much more impressed."

Zhang Yutai, executive deputy director of China Care for the Next Generation Working Committee, said, "The "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" is a creative transformation and innovative development of the inheritance of excellent Chinese culture, and such a good work should be put into schools, classrooms and teaching materials as soon as possible to strengthen traditional culture education and aesthetic education for children."

Zhao Lin, the producer of "Ancient Poems and Children's Rhymes" said,"The performance of the children tonight gave our creative team great encouragement. As a musician, I feel the responsibility on my body more deeply. Next, the creative team will continue to select ancient poems from primary and secondary school textbooks, and make adaptations of folk songs and Campus Songwriting, so as to dedicate better works for children and make a contribution to the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture."
